Her journey began in 2005 when she needed something to bring order to her chaotic life. She has 4 amazing, unique, challenging children who were the catalyst for her to seek more balance… enter yoga.

Kim knew when yoga began to heal her heart and her relationship with herself, and the impact it had on her family, that she was going to teach this practice. In 2008 she journeyed to Rishikesh, India to embark on her initial 200-hour teacher Training with the Inland School of Yoga. Kim began teaching regularly in Johnstown in 2008. She has led workshops on alignment, restoration, and chakras in surrounding cities, as well as in-state retreats and international Yoga, retreats to Costa Rica, Mexico, Hawaii, Peru, Bonaire (Caribbean), Italy, and Portugal.

She has guest-starred in 6 episodes of Yoga Today.com and taught privates to individuals and large corporations like New Belgium Brewery. She has over 300 hours of additional advanced teacher training and over 10,000 teaching hours. She has continued her studies with Master Teacher Jeanie Manchester in Boulder, CO. She is pursuing 1000 hour teacher credentialing through Yoga Medicine and completed modules on Women's Reproductive Health, Yoga Anatomy, Yoga, and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), and Neurobiology of Yoga and Mental Health.  Kim is also certified in Modules 1 and 2 through Acrobatic Arts for Acrobatic Dance so she has an affinity to inversions and hand balancing and knows how to make them accessible to anyone willing.

Kim’s classes will be full of alignment and modification. One of her talents is her teaching range. She can teach chair yoga, advanced yoga, and anything in between. She likes to challenge students but feels a solid foundation is the best approach to keep the practice sustainable for a lifetime. More than anything, what makes her classes unique is her ability to weave the tantric heart philosophy and the science of yoga into the theme of the class. You will hear her tell you time and again, The poses are all gimmicks to get you here!  Yoga is truly about the breath, your hearts alignment, prana (energy), mental clarity, and all the other unseen parts of you.  Touching your toes doesn’t matter if you leave and feel defeated or less than…what are you learning about your patterns, your mental dialogue, your knee jerk reactions to things that are challenging? Those answers are truly the practice.”  She is adamant that she is not a group fitness instructor. She is not concerned about your “physical fitness” she has been called to teach wholeness through yoga. "Yoga is not for everyone…it is only for those ready for transformation."
